Voting is a citizen’s duty in a democracy. It is also the primary means whereby government hears the voice of the people. If you do not vote, you have surrendered your primary right as a citizen of your city or county, your state, and your nation.
Virginia Voter information is available from Virginia Department of Elections. This information includes registering to vote and checking your voter information, absentee voting, upcoming elections, and election results. More local information can be found on the City of Bristol Virginia website, or by stopping by the Registrar’s Office at City Hall, 300 Lee St., Suite 101, Bristol, VA 24201.
If you need transportation to the polls, special accommodations, or an absentee ballot, be sure you make arrangements before the deadline so your vote will be counted. If you have questions about voting, contact your Registrar early to make sure that you can vote.
